About Me
Hello! I am Zhiqian Luo, or you may call me Orson.
I specialize in portrait, product, documentary, and studio photography, with skills in videography. I use Adobe products like Lightroom, Photoshop, and Premier Pro for my photo/video post-editing.
I grew up in Guangzhou, China, around an hour from Hong Kong. Hong Kong had a big influence on me during my childhood, which became the place where I picked up photography as a hobby. I later came to the U.S. when I was 14 years old; I came here for high school, and I was by myself (2016-2020). Being in a foreign country by myself was a fresh challenge for me at that time. This was also the time when I became more obsessed with photography, my passion for aviation and photography meant that I started plane spotting. I have multiple works being published on various airlines’ social media accounts like Instagram and Facebook.
When I graduated high school, I chose to pursue Professional Photography as a major in college. I was accepted into the School of Visual Arts in New York City, but the high living expenses and my dream of experiencing college campus life led me to Pennsylvania State University (2020-2024). I gained professional knowledge and experience in portrait, product, documentary, and studio photography during my time as a student here. Which is also the time when I picked up videography. My education and internship experiences further confirmed my decision to pursue a creative career in the future.
After graduation, I decided to move to Los Angeles to pursue my dream in a creative career.
